Top 100 blogs of the Philippine blogosphere
Sunday, April 29, 2007
It is a new directory featuring the best Filipino blogs in the blogosphere. Using data from Technorati.com, each blog's statistics such as rank, links and other information are gathered and stored, therefore "ratifying" it.I saw the site when I was doing my usual rounds of checking who has linked me recently. Very happy, ratified.org is ranking me 24th. But the ranking is only Technorati-based. Yuga offers his thoughts on how to improve it, though.
It also includes the most popular feeds via feedburner.
Visit the site. Your blog might be in there and you might want to get your ranking button to show off your rank on your sidebar and feel proud for being ratified.

I'm surprised to find Jessica Zafra's blog outnumbered in terms of links. I love her writing style.
Then again I smell some sort of a popularity contest going on. I voted for blog of the week last week and I'm surprised the votes don't seem to be based on content.
Is it based on layout? Just curious. I need to read further.
I don't believe in ranking btw, in itself. Skippy The Bush Kangaroo has one of the best blogs... even mentioned in CNN and in The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, but I don't see him ranked that high in Technorati, the blog still remains "unclaimed" even.

Personally, I have no delusions of grandeur... so I don't mind being on the z-list.

Probably Jessica's blog ranks high in terms of feed readers. The ranks can be seen in different ways.
Please read the rules for the Filipino BLog of the Week.
Thanks for posting G.
