How to add mp3 player in your blog post

Saturday, August 16, 2008

You probably landed on some blogs with mp3 players within their posts. Did you ever wonder how to add an mp3 player in your own blog post? It is actually easy. You only have to embed an HTML with the mp3 player and the song URLs.

Do you want something like this?

Inserting an mp3 player in your blog post is important if you promote or blog about upcoming albums or songs.

Here are the steps:

1. Find a free hosting site and sign up for an account. Make sure the site allows hosting these two types of files : .swf and .mp3. I would suggest Fileden. I think Divshare also works.

2. Upload this .swf file (the player) into your hosting account. Don't forget to get the URL for this player.

3. Upload songs you like to your account. Get the URL of the song too.

4. Copy the player code below to your post. You need to change those written in BOLD to their corresponding URLs.

4. You also have the option to change the color of the player.

Tell me if you get it. Enjoy!

Anonymous Online Survey Software said...

Amazing Online Survey Software takes just a few minutes to launch, does not need to be downloaded and is interactive to respondents as well. All one needs to do is use the survey wizard in the web browser and get started. The first step to build a survey is to select from the given templates, where questions and answer choices can be selected. Questions can be single, multiple response, and matrix type or open ended. An entirely new survey design can be created without any programming skills.

Thanks for the tips, works well with blogger.

I'm guessing it's the same as this player - http://www.macloo.com/examples/audio_player/

I've used your code above and just embedded it on the page but do you know if doing it by the method suggested in the macloo post is any better or worse?

Easiest way to put an mp3 in your blog post:

1. Get a free Divshare account (mentioned in this article).
2. Upload an MP3
3. Click on the Divshare dashboard
4. Click on your MP3 file
5. Click on the 'share/embed options' link
6. Copy the 'Embed MP3' field
7. Paste that code into your blog posting.

Worked 4 me. Good luck!
